Merlene Luckey Clark, formerly of Magee, MS died on November 2, 2015. She had mostly resided at Marengo Nursing Home, Linden, AL. Mrs. Clark was born on November 16, 1929, to Timothy and Ella Shires Luckey in Bessmay, Rexas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday November 6, 2015, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, MS. Bro. James Fortenberry will officiate the services.
Mrs. Clark and her husband, Leon Clark, Sr. were the owners of Clark’s Jewelry, formerly in Magee, MS. She was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, near Taylorsville, MS. She enjoyed quilting, reading, and blue grass music.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Clark, Sr.
She is survived by her children Barbara Hicks, West Memphis, AK; Leon Clark, Jr. (Susan), Demopolis, AL; Pat Donehoo (Harold), Canton, GA, and 5 grandchildren: Scott Hicks (Jennie), Lindsay Clark Bendeck (Brad), Reggie Clark (Bethany), Derek Hall, and Dexter Hall. Mrs. Clark is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren (Macie and Lain Hall- Ezra, Nora, and Lydia Clark).
In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Clear Creek Cemetery, 1286 SCR1, Taylorsville, MS 39168.
Visitation will be November 6, 2015, from 9:30 to 11:00AM, prior to the funeral at Colonial Chapel in Taylorsville, MS. There will be no graveside service.
