Mendenhall High School Student Receives Prestigious Award from Mississippi Academy of Sciences 

Mendenhall High School senior Lillian Hamil was recently presented a prestigious award during the 2023 Mississippi Academy of Sciences Annual Convention, recognized as the Super Bowl of STEM.

Presented with the Outstanding Saha MS-JAS Award, Hamil received this award for her involvement in research on Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis.

Hamil was the only high school student from Mississippi to present at the convention held in Biloxi.
