Melissa Dawn O’Dell Wilson, 39 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Friday, January 7, 1983, in Johnson County, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 09, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert O’Dell; mother, Mary Taylor Manshack; and brother, David O’Dell.
Survivors include her husband, Jim McCann of Magee, MS; two sons, Dillan Mounger (Conner Steinbarger) of Greencastle, IN, Lewis McCann of Magee, MS and William Holley of LA; one step-son, Jimmy McCann of Magee, MS; one step-daughter, Katie Goff (Brent) of Brandon, MS; granddaughter, Juniper O’Dell of IN; step-granddaughters, Katelyn Perry of Crystal Springs, MS and Madison Goss of Hattiesburg, MS; four brothers, Bobby O’Dell (Cerrie) of TX, Sammy O’Dell (Sheila) of TX, Clayton O’Dell (Heather) of AR, and Stephen O’Dell (Maria) of IL; five sisters, Tina Griffin (Tom) of TX, Mendy Moore (Kurt) of OK, Debbie Burrow (David) of TX, Kim Bullard (John) of TX and Dana Pratt of TX; fifteen nieces and nine nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dillan Mounger, Lewis McCann, Brent Goff, Jimmy McCann, Terry Lucas, and Dalton Lucas.
