   Melinda Jo Bradley Pevey, 60, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, October 19, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

          Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Rock Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

          Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at The Rock Church. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Mark Brady will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

          Mrs. Pevey was a member of The Rock Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. She attended Taylorsville High School.  After high school, she attended Jones College where she obtained her Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse.  She was a nurse for over thirty years.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

          She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pevey; parents, Joe Bradley and Corrine Ainsworth Bradley; and four brothers.

          Survivors include her two loving children, Chris Bradley of Summerdale, AL, and Katie Slade and husband, Randy, of Taylorsville; three grandchildren, Kaylie Delapaz of Taylorsville, Emilee Boykin of Taylorsville, and Devon Bradley of Summerdale, AL; one great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Kilgore of Taylorsville; and a host of other family members and friends .

          Pallbearers will be Jim Kilgore, Austin Tanner, Devon Bradley, Dalton English, Joey Williams, and Randy Slade.
