WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
WHAT: Highway CLOSURE.
WHEN: Monday, August 23, at 6 a.m. until Tuesday, August 24, at 6 p.m.
WHERE: State Route 587 in both directions from State Route 44 (in Marion County) to Divide Road in Lawrence County.
WHY: A section SR 587 will be CLOSED to traffic for a drainage culvert replacement.
Pipe replacement is just north of the Marion/Lawrence County Line.
Motorists are reminded to be on high alert for roadside workers.
