Is your child interested in serving on the Mayor of Magee’s Youth Council? If yes, now is the opportunity for the student to submit their name to their high school guidance counselor.
Students at Magee High School, Simpson Academy, and Mt Zion, who are in grades 9-12, are eligible for the council. Three students per grade will be chosen.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30PM. Council members are required to attend meetings.
The Mayor’s Youth Council gives students an opportunity to observe the managing of the city government as well as participate in needed projects for the city.
