Mayor Dale Berry stopped by MageeNews.com for his weekly update. Mayor Berry had been out and about checking in with beauty and barber shops that opened following the Governor’s latest orders.
According to Dale, the restaurants had good opening nights and no problems with social distancing. Several of the restaurants are continuing curb-side service.
Dale and I discussed the ruling requiring trash to be in bags and bags in cans. The Mayor explained that this is not a new ruling but one that has been on the books for years which he will now enforce.
The crew few remains in affect and has shown good results with a reduction in crime.
The state ordinance against loud cars/mufflers/radios will also be enforced. The city has received numerous complaints on the loud mufflers in residential areas. Berry hopes the enforcement of this ordinance will eliminate the problem.
The Mayor stressed the importance of shopping local.
