The first Friday in November provides the perfect date for a state wide cook-out—Elections follow on Tuesday!!!  The fall event is the place for politicians and friends to get together and talk “shop” one more time before elections.

Matt and Kayla Sullivan’s gathering had gorgeous weather…sunny and not too cool…but enough chill in the air to let everyone know fall has finally arrived.

The family barn provides the backdrop for a lunch of barbecue chicken, baked beans, cold slaw, rolls…and a “whole pig!”  The dessert table stretches for miles with cakes that make your mouth water!

The food may be on the minds of many, but really, it’s all about meeting and greeting.

Law officials, political figures, tons of lawyers, judges, commissioners, supervisors, businessmen and women, friends and of course family make up the crowd.

Thanks to Matt and Kayla for a great time.  I look forward every year to this event!

Candidate for Governor Tate Reeves was in attendance
