Mary Lou Wells Boyd, 72 of Mendenhall, Mississippi

 

Mary Lou Boyd (June 29, 1950 – February 6, 2023) was born to Andrew and Olivia Wells of Martinville.   After attending school at Magee, Mary worked at the Universal Mfg. plant in Mendenhall and with the Allstate Insurance Company in Jackson.  Mary loved flower gardening, cooking, reading, watching old westerns and of course, shopping.  After lengthy illnesses, Mary was a resident of Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall and passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023.  She is survived by her sons, Brian Brooks, Bo Brooks Boyd; grandsons, Cole Robinson (Rayne), Tyler Brooks and great granddaughter, AJ Robinson.  Mary also leaves her sisters Betty Jo King, Jewel Mullins, Ronnie Joyce Wells, and brothers Ross Wells (Mary) and Andy Wells (Nancy), and many loved nieces and nephews, some who were like sisters and brothers.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents, Andrew and Olivia Wells, her husband John Boyd and her daughter Angela Brooks Robinson East, and her father, Herrold Brooks; preceding Mary in death as well was her sister Gladys Herring and brothers Howard Wells and Glovis Wells
