Mary Lou James, 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. She was born on August 27, 1951, to Jim Curtis Johnson and Mattie Mae (Warren) Johnson.

Mary Lou was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mims Johnson and Billy Frank Johnson: sisters, Jackie Hutson, Sherry Hylender and Myrtis McNair.

She is survived by her husband, Malcom Butch “B.J.” James; sons, Jeffery James (Tanya) and Michael James (Tina); daughter, Stephanie Ray (Donnie); brother, Jim Henry Johnson (Sue); sisters, Betty Sue Ferguson (Anthony) and Gloria Wilcocks; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services are scheduled for Sunday, December 29, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home. Brother Wayne Hall will officiate. Interment will follow at the Fairmont-Waco Cemetery in Mize.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
