Mary Jo Roberts Allison
(November 5, 1931 – June 3, 2022)
Mary Jo Roberts Allison, 90, of Madison, Mississippi, but grew up and lived most of her life in Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, November 5, 1931, in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall at 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 07, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Mendenhall City Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Brother Rodney Anderson will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mr. Jonathan Statham. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Mrs. Mary Jo Allison was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a Christian who loved the Lord with all of her heart and exhibited kindness to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, K W Allison, Jr.; father, Arthur Sylvester Roberts; mother, Loyce Walker Roberts; step-mother, Lottie Davis Roberts; brother, Jack Roberts; and sisters, Sara Roberts Day and Dorothy Roberts Gillis.
Survivors include her one son, Ken Allison, III of Mendenhall, Mississippi; one daughter, Tammy Allison Brown (Scott) of Madison, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Kalle Allison of New Orleans, Louisiana, Brett Brown of Madison, Mississippi and Josh Brown of Madison, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Neely, Tommy Lee, Doug Tullos, Scott Brown, Mickey Crosby, and Jason Williams.
