Mary Evelyn Smith, 77, passed from this life on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall, MS.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, MS with Rev. John Reeves and Rev. Dale Linton officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, MS with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.

Mrs. Smith was born Saturday, December 18, 1937 in Magee, MS. She was a member of Magee Presbyterian Church, and was plant manager of New Hebron Manufacturing for 44 years.

She is survived by three daughters Rebecca Sant, Mendenhall, Priscilla Barr and husband Stanley, Mendenhall, and daughter Teresa Sant, Mendenhall, and sister Hattie Laura Smith, Mount Olive.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ina Mae Roberts McLendon, husband Emmitt “Jack” Smith, sister V. L. Yelverton, brother Cecil McLendon,

Pallbearers will be Kelly Barnes, James King, Jason Barr, Andy Barr, Tyler Barr, and Jeff Barr. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Son-in-laws.
