Martha Walker Hegwood, 73 of Magee, MS passed away from earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home in Magee, MS. She was born Thursday, August 19, 1948 in Magee.

  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial will follow in Magee City Cemetery.  Bro. Jim Taylor and Bro. Lance Word will officiate. Special music will be performed by Jeff Blackwell and Bro. Lance Word. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

  Mrs. Hegwood was a loving Christian wife, mother, and friend. She loved working in her home and yard. She loved spending time with her childhood friends and her little dog Cricket.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Hegwood; parents, Ras and Alene McCallum Walker.

  Survivors include her daughter, Libby  Hegwood  Shivers and husband, Jay of Magee; childhood friends, Linda  Nichols and husband, Tommy of Magee, Mary  Alice  Knight and husband, Eugene of Magee, Becky  Runnels and husband, Larry of Mize, Marylin  Parker  of Magee, Ilene  Floyd  of Magee; special love one Janette Brewer of Brandon.

 Pallbearers will be Dr. James Stuard, Hunter Thompson, Eugene Herring, Tommy Nichols, Larry Runnels, and Johnny Ray Smith.

 Honorary Pallbearers will be childhood friends Linda Nichols, Mary Alice Knight, Becky Runnels, Marylin Parker, and Ilene Floyd
