Margie Marie Anderson, 73, of Magee, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, November 12, 1946, in Magee, Mississippi.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Magee City Cemetery. Reverend Jonathan Burnham will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mrs. Margie is a graduate of Mendenhall High School.  Margie married the love of her life, Bill Anderson, on November 6th in 1965.  Her life’s work was raising her daughter, Janet, and taking care of her granddaughter, Madison.  She worked at several local businesses as a Secretary and later in her life, worked as a Unit Secretary at Magee General Hospital.  Margie enjoyed decorating, shopping, going to the beauty salon, nail salon, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” J. Anderson; parents, Herman and Estell Bishop; two brothers, Billy Bishop and Kenneth Bishop; one nephew, Ken Shelnutt; three nieces, Jane Wilkinson, Jennifer Bishop, and Jessica Bishop.

Survivors include one loving daughter, Janet Maddox (Brian); one granddaughter, Madison Maddox; one sister-in-law, Mary Bishop, four nieces, Karan Stomps (John), Kina Lockhart (Terry), Cyndi Peden and Christy Hammond.  She has a host of great-nieces and nephews, as well as extended family by marriage that she cherished greatly.

Pallbearers will be Treston Kemp, Tanis Blakeney, Kobie Dye, Justen Dye, Andrew Amason, and Brett Anderson.
