Next Week Brings Warm Temperatures and Repeated Rain Chances to Magee
Residents in Magee and across Simpson County should prepare for a warm, humid week with several opportunities for showers and thunderstorms.
The work week begins Monday, May 18, with scattered thunderstorms possible. Temperatures are expected to climb to around 85 degrees, with overnight lows near 66. A light breeze may offer some relief, but rain chances could develop during the day.
Tuesday looks to be the warmest day of the week, with highs reaching approximately 87 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Humidity will remain high, making conditions feel even warmer. A stray shower cannot be ruled out.
Another round of scattered storms is possible Wednesday as temperatures remain in the mid-80s. Forecast highs are near 84 degrees, with lows around 67.
Rain becomes more likely Thursday, with showers expected through much of the day and slightly cooler temperatures. Highs should top out near 82 degrees.
By Friday, a few lingering showers may remain in the forecast, but conditions could begin improving with partly sunny skies returning. Afternoon highs are expected near 83 degrees.
Bottom line: Keep the umbrella handy and stay weather aware, especially during the middle part of the week when storm activity may increase. While no washout appears likely at this time, scattered rain chances will be part of the daily forecast.
