Over the weekend, officers with the Magee Police Department made multiple arrests as part of ongoing efforts to keep impaired drivers off our roads.
Douglas King II was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence (1st Offense) and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Glenda McWilliams was also taken into custody, charged with Driving Under the Influence (1st Offense) and an Ordinance Violation for having an open container of alcohol.
Let this serve as a reminder: We are not slowing down. If you choose to drink and drive, you will be arrested. We are committed to protecting our community and will go the extra mile—including obtaining search warrants for blood samples when necessary—to hold impaired drivers accountable.
We want everyone to enjoy their weekends, but not at the expense of public safety. Don’t put yourself or others at risk. We don’t play with DUIs.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
