Our first Magee High School Alumni meeting took place Thursday night and was a success! Though the numbers were small, we are positive about the outlook. We want to officially establish a Magee High School alumni association and will be doing so soon. Many great ideas for fundraising and alumni involvement were established and will be taking place soon.
Our next planned meeting is scheduled for December 10, 2015 at 6:00 PM likely at McAllister’s. We expect a good turnout from alumni and people in the community. We really need alumni, parents, and students of all ages to be involved and help support the school.
Recently, I wrote an article about our school and its young alumni that was placed on Mageenews.com and the response was incredible. Nearly 600 people shared the article on Facebook and nearly 20,000 viewed the article. Hopefully this will springboard positivity about the community and help rally everyone behind our great school. Thanks to everyone who shared kind words about the article.
