The Magee All Star soft ball team suffered an emotional defeat in the final game of the World Series.
Mom, Jada Deal, shares the story.
“This picture speaks a thousand words. Dedicated, love of the game, determination, and most of all HEARTBREAK!! I could not be more PROUD of this Mississippi team. This group of girls played their heart out in the World Series to have a walk off tied game. Words can NOT express the heartache the team and families felt to hear it was over due to a pitching rule. The game was in 9th inning, over time, tied and 1 pitch cost us the game. To all the ladies, hold your heads high, you didn’t loss anything, you won self pride. As you all walked and took that MS flag down with a tie showed more sportsmanship than any team I have ever been a part of. I love you all.”
