FULFILLING THE FLESH
Did you ever stop to think if you are not a child of God you are fulfilling the flesh. Our devotion today comes from Romans 13:14. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts there of.
For us to put on Jesus we must first become His child. We do this by repenting, being filled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues as the spirit gives the utterance, take up our cross, follow Jesus and then serve him with all of our soul, body, mind, and spirit. Anything less than 100% want do. Some of us want to be a child of God on certain days of the week and special holidays.
God wants us all the time. After God comes in our life the flesh or worldly things must die. We have to live in the world, but we don’t have to partake of it.
The Bible says greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. This is why we have victory in Jesus. The cross makes the difference in our life. We have Jesus who is 100% real and true while the world has something that is only 99% pure. You have tried everything that the world has to offer and you still are the same. I challenge you to try Jesus for he never forsake you and people will notice the change.
God wants you to be a pineapple for him. The pineapple grows straight and tall, wears a crown and is sweet inside. The world wants you to be persimmon. One who never smiles or gives thanks for anything. The choice is yours. Father help us to die out daily to the world. Have a blessed and victorious week.
