MAGEE, Miss. — Dec. 23, 2025 — Magee General Hospital celebrated the retirement of Marilyn Parker, a dedicated member of the Patient Financial Services team and lifelong Magee resident, with a reception held Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Parker began her career at Magee General Hospital in 1998 as a full-time emergency room clerk and has faithfully served the organization for 27 nonconsecutive years.
Reflecting on her time at the hospital, Parker said, “I have loved my time here. When I was younger, everyone wanted to work at Magee General Hospital — it was the place to be, either here or at the clinic next door. Over the years, it has truly become home, and I wish everyone here the very best.”
Colleagues, friends and community members attended the reception to honor Parker’s career and contributions to the organization.
“We are deeply grateful for Marilyn’s years of service and unwavering commitment to our patients and staff,” Executive Director Pam Wallace said. “Her presence will be greatly missed, but we are excited to see her enjoy this new chapter of life.”
