Brandi Bankston, second grade teacher at Magee Elementary, has been selected as the Magee Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Brandi is a graduate of William Carey University and is currently working on a Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement in
Gifted Studies.
” I chose education because I wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I enjoy spending time with my students and getting to know them as individuals. Teaching children to love to read is a goal that I have set for myself as an educator. My mother was a great inspiration to me throughout my entire life. Although she isn’t in education, her influence helped lead me into the decision to become an educator,” stated Brandi.
