Magee Trojans Conquer Taylorsville Tarters

There was bloodshed for the Tartars on the Trojan court, Monday, August 27, 2018. Magee Junior Varsity started off losing the first set by four points but would not give up. The Trojans came back with a win in the second set. A coin toss was required for the third set. Captained by Kody Shows and Anna Magee, the Trojans won the coin toss, allowing them to initiate the round with a serve for the Trojans. The third set, only going to 15, ended in Magee’s favor with the final score being 15-11.

The Varsity Lady Trojans were on fire. Captained by Abby Myers, the Lady Trojans vanquished the Tartars in the first set. The second set, however, was a closer call with the Tartars edging out the Trojans with a score of 25-23. However, in the third set, the Lady Trojans had great serve streaks by captain, Abby Myers, #18, and Catelyn Deaver, #00, and it was with some great saves, Magee decimated the Tartars with a final score of 25-9.

The Lady Trojans’ heart and energy comes from their biggest fan #9, Allie Shows.  She leads the team in cheers and chants exciting the entire gym. She declares her love for the team by stating, “The team as a whole comes closer together and works better with each other after every game. I’ve never been a part of a team that grows so well from their mistakes. We will keep cheering each other on and encouraging one another.”

Come support the Lady Trojans as the Puckett Wolves enter Trojan Territory on Tuesday, August 28. Junior Varsity will be at 5:00, and Varsity will be at 6:00.
