The Simpson County Country Club was the setting Saturday for the Magee Class of 1985’s 30th class reunion. A great time was had by all. Some class mates remain local while some traveled from the Jackson and Brandon area, Gulfport, Columbia, Louisiana and Texas to name a few. Some students had changed while others still looked the same. Food was provided by Debbie Marsh. The entertainment and music was provided by Magee’s own Sandra Roberts Hyde. The afternoon was a time for classmates to play golf, swim and enjoy family time. The afternoon was a time of dinner, socializing, and dancing. Hilda Roberts and Climmis Byars were some of the past teachers that were present to meet and greet with previous students. Everyone enjoyed seeing the teachers and visiting with them. A memorial table was on hand to remember the ones that have died since graduation and a special time of remembrance was done where former classmates spoke about each person. Some old habits are hard to break as some of the old cheerleaders grabbed pompoms and showed they still remembered the fight song.
