Magee Board of Alderman held their bimonthly meeting Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Magee City Hall.
This would be the last official board meeting for Mayor Jimmy Clyde before his retirement.
Meeting was called to order.
Minutes and claims dockets were approved.
Two new streets within the city limits were named. The street located by new elementary school will be called Education Ave. The street located by Tractor Supply will be named Tractor Supply Ave.
A street request was granted for 100 Character Drive, Magee. This is located in the Trinity Sub Division.
In police matters Ben Stevens was hired as a full time officer, and Billy Seghini was hired as a part time officer.
Approval was given to pave the drive and parking area leading to the splash pad at the sportsplex.
A request from Puckett Upholstery was granted pending attorney approval to annex their property within the city limits located on hwy 49 north.
With no further business meeting was adjourned until next board meeting on July 5, 2017.
