Magee Board of Alderman met on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm.

The meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance and prayer was lead by Murry Keith.

Meeting was called to order.

Works Projects and Committee Reports were given and approved

Public Comments: Mayor Jimmy Clyde, told he started the 8th Mayor’s Youth Council, Veterans Day would be celebrated November 10th for the City of Magee, 40th Annual Crazy Day is this Saturday, A Street Dance Friday Night, and Dave Roberts with WLBT was here Tuesday programming and opportunity to purchase weather radios.

Unfinished Business:

  1. Approve Minutes
  2. Invoice Frontage Road
  3. McDema Mid Winter Conference November 10-12

This is for Joe Worrell to attend in Tunica

  1. Request for use of Lagoon Sherman Septic Tank Service

Voted and approved to allow Sherman Septic Tank Service, The Drain Man, and Wayne Stubbs to

dump waste $25.00 per loan for six months starting in October and evaluate in six months to see how

it is effecting the sewage system.

New Business:

  1. Approve Claims Docket – all was read and approved
  2. Discuss police matters – discussed for officers to attend active shooters class for CE in Atlanta. Cost would be salary for officers and transportation. Getting figures for coast together and waiting approval.
  3. Discuss Fire Department matters – none at this time
  4. Discuss public works matters – none at this time
  5. Complete street policy
  6. Emergency matters

Meeting was adjourned until Thursday night at 6:30 to finish business on bond issue.
