Good pitching, strong defense, and hot bats propelled Magee to a victory over Ridgeland 11-0. Magee scored in the top of the 1st inning when Cayden Bridges got hit by pitch followed by a stolen base and scored on a passed ball. Magee added to the lead in the 2nd inning when Matthew Russell reached second on a hit and an error and scored on an error by Ridgeland on a flyball hit by Banks Teater. Kaden Harper drew a walk and J’Kwon Gregory would run for him, followed by a hit from Cayden Bridges and both would eventually score on a double by Chandler Pittman. Magee added a run in the 3rd inning when Brennon McNair scored on a hit from Doc McLaurin. Magee added 2 more runs in the 4th when Bridges got a hit followed by a Homerun by Pittman. Magee would add their final runs in the 6th inning with hits by Adam May, McNair, and a homerun by McLaurin.

Kaden Harper pitched a complete game shutout with 5 strikeouts and only allowed 4 hits. Defense made some great plays behind him in the infield and with diving catches by Pittman and Bridges in the outfield.
Coach Euabanks stated “we played solid in all three phases of the game: we pitched well, we defended well and we swung it well. 3-A south is very tough this year so playing great teams and competing at a high level will definitely pay off in the end.”
The next games scheduled for Magee are at Sumrall Friday, April 2, 2021. Game times are as follows and tickets must be purchased on Gofan.com.
