Magee a caring place
Following the motorcycle wreck this weekend, the family of Paul Miller reached out to me through the website for pictures and to express appreciation for a city that cares.
I have had the Miller family on my mind…I have prayed for them…just as I have prayed for the lady who pulled (by accident) in the path of the motorcycle.
I wanted to share one of the messages I received from Paul’s brother, Robert.
“Sue,
Thank you very much, I spoke to the Chief of Police earlier and I feel that my brother was well taken care of in a friendly place. Thank you for your prayers.
Robert Miller”
Simpson County and Magee are filled with caring residents. Thank you to everyone who reached out to the Miller family.
A special thanks to the Magee Police Department for going the extra mile with this family. I am honored that we have a police department that is aware of others feelings. When my middle son, Larkin, died, the Oxford Police Department treated my family terrible…I have never forgotten the “I don’t care” attitude that was evident in that department. I knew then as I know now…that if the death had happened in Magee…our policemen would go the extra mile for a grieving family. Some things you just don’t forget…..
