Lythia Rachel Hankins, 79 of Laurel, MS passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at her daughters Kendra in Laurel, Mississippi. She was born Monday, August 2, 1943 in Mississippi

  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bryan Allen will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

 She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey  Ables;  mother, Ruebelle Shrock;  brothers, James  Ables; sister, Fannie Jewel Siddon.

  Survivors include her husband, Don (Ray) Hankins;  son, Ronnie  Hankins (Celina);  daughter, Kendra  Allen  (Bryan);  step-son, Richard  Lambert  (Madeline);  grandchildren, Malichi Holfield  (Nikki), Isaac  Allen, Desirae  Hankins, Elijiah Allen and Hayley  Hankins; step-grandchild, Tasha Farrish;  brothers, Lamar  Ables (Elaine), Dale  Ables, Tony  Ables  (Jane);  great grandchild, Sophia  Holfield; and host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers will be Malichi Holfield, Isaac Allen, Elijah Allen, and Ronnie Hankins.
