Significant Severe Likely
Significant severe storms are likely through tonight. Multiple rounds of storms are expected, including this morning and again late this afternoon through late tonight. Damaging wind gusts up to 80 MPH and hail to the size of tennis balls is possible. Tornadoes are also possible.Flash Flooding Threat
Multiple rounds of thunderstorms will lead to areas of flash flooding through tonight. Localized rainfall amounts of 3″ to 5″ are possible. A Flood Watch is in effect for parts of Central Mississippi.Thursday Storms
Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and hail up to quarter size are possible Thursday afternoon into early evening for portions of central and south Mississippi.Friday Storms
Severe storms are possible again on Friday. Damaging winds and hail up to golf ball size will be the primary threats.

Increasing Heat
Dangerous heat and increasing heat stress, with heat index values approaching 105 to 110 degrees, is possible late this week into early next week, primarily across northeast and central Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
