logan6   The families of George Logan and Julia Barron Logan hosted a Logan Family Day on Saturday, July 11th in Magee, MS.  They were parents to what we call the famous 12.  For many years, the Logans (and Barrons) celebrated the 4th of July with a cookout in the yard.  Logans from coast to coast would come to Magee for the annual festivities.   Well years passed, family members passed away, and the tradition faded.   Last year we decided to do a one day reunion to commemorate the many years we spent being together in July.   logan2 logan3 logan4

We setup a Facebook group page and started planning.  On this past Saturday we had Logans and Barrons from Alaska to New York and a lot of places in between to celebrate our family and family traditions.   Thanks to everyone who attended, worked, and prayed for the successful day.  We had a GREAT family day filled with food and fun.   Even though it was hot and humid, we enjoyed spending this time together.    Our time on this Earth passes quickly and we are happy we were able to be together one more time.  May God’s grace rest, rule, and abide with each of us until we meet again.

I am just saying, I am sitting here reading the article and preparing the photos to publish, and it looks to me that the Logans had a great day.  Look at all the food and smiles.  Enjoy your family times together!!!
