Dr. Shannon Lamb, DSU professor suspected in the shooting death of colleague, Dr. Ethan Schmidt and girlfriend Amy Prentiss, committed suicide.

The lockdown at Delta State University has been lifted.

Police reported that Lamb was spotted crossing the MS River Bridge in Greenville. A license plate reading device picked up the tag number of the car in which Lamb was driving . Lamb pulled his car to the side of the road and fled into the woods later killing himself by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Dr. Ethan Schmidt was killed on DSU campus. Amy Prentiss was killed in

her home in Gautier, MS
William N LaForge, President of DSU, announced by twitter that a candlelight vigil would be held on the Quad Tuesday at 7 PM.
