Lawrence Russell Westbrook, 72, of Puckett, Mississippi, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his home. He was born Wednesday, February 9, 1949, in Cleveland, Mississippi.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Puckett Baptist Church in Puckett, Mississippi.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Puckett Baptist Church. Bro. Grant McElveen and Bro. Marcus Canoy will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401
Mr. Westbrook was a devoted member of Puckett Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and helping anyone in need. He was also known for his love for music and his three fur babies. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends, and his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Marvin Westbrook and Lillie Mae Guest Westbrook.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-five years, Clara Elizabeth Collier Westbrook of Puckett; nine children, Rusty King (Zoraida) of Nashville, TN, Karen Wintz (Kelly) of Mandeville, LA, Brandi Westbrook of Jackson, MS, Christi Williams of Gautier, MS, Angel Westbrook of Jackson, MS, Daniel Westbrook of Florence, MS, Biza Jenni of Ocean Springs, MS, Joshua Westbrook (Jenelle) of Richland, MS, and David Westbrook (Erin) of Mendenhall, MS; two step-children, Joey Mayfield (Beth) of Flowood, MS, and Corey Mayfield (Amber) of Brandon, MS; thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Paul Reid Westbrook (Rhita) of Texas; one sister, Betty Westbrook Moore of Chicago, IL; and a host of other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests for donations to be made to Puckett Baptist Church, P.O. Box 220, Puckett, Mississippi 39151.
