Lance O’Neal Hayes passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in Magee, MS. He was born to Forrest Hailey and Frankie (Hayes) Delancy on October 16, 1977, in Magee, MS.

Mr. Hayes was a truck driver by trade. But his favorite job was coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams. He was a man who was always ready with encouraging words to the youth he coached. Lance was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He was known as a skilled pool player and a music enthusiast. He will be missed dearly by his family and community.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Sullivan) Hayes; his mother, Frankie Hayes Delancy (Harold); son, Landon Hayes; daughters, Addyson Hayes, Payton Hayes; brother; Patrick “Pat” Hayes (Tenisha); maternal grandmother, Basheba Hayes; father and mother-in-law, Gary Paul and Janet Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Brock Sullivan, Justin Sullivan (Eboney); and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and maternal grandfather, Henry Hayes.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. An additional visitation will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M at Kennedy Spring Baptist Church with the service following at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Orlando Rankin, Pastor Donavon Thigpen and Pastor Ralph Walker are officiating. Interment will follow at Kennedy Springs Cemetery in Magee, MS.

All arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
