Senior night is one of the most memorable nights of the season for senior players and their parents. Thursday night, the Lady Trojan Volleyball Team shared all of their compassion for the beloved seniors as they were recognized for their hard work and time put into the sport that they adore.

Coach Kendria Young welcomed the families and friends of the senior volleyball players and the fans as the recognition began spotlighting each senior players’ achievements and future plans.

When asked about senior year, the Lady Trojan seniors gave thanks to their families, team, and supporters.

Catelyn Deaver exclaims, “I want to thank my mama, my mamaw, and everyone who supports me. I want to thank all the JV players and Varsity players that will be seniors next year. I’m going to miss my babies.”

Gabby Hawkins, #2, wants to thank her mom and her pastor for always being there for her when nobody else was. She states, “[Senior Year] has been great. I’ve loved all my teammates. It’s been the best one yet.”

Mikilia Daniels, #22, loves every member of her team. Daniels says, “It’s been a wonderful senior year. I just want to thank everyone who was there to support. I want to thank my teammates for being there and playing together. We’ve had a blessed year.”

After an emotional night for our seniors, the Trojan family headed home with Thursday night being in their hearts forever.
