Justin Bynum, age 8, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, LA surrounded by his loving family and special friends. Justin was born on June 27, 2014, to his parents, William Bynum and Lisa Badeaux Bynum in Magee, MS.

Justin was a sweet and kind hearted child that had many friends. You would never hear anyone say anything negative about him. He had just completed the 3rd grade at Magee Elementary and would be celebrating his 9th birthday in a few days.

He loved spending time with his family. He would write in his journal about going to shop at Dirt Cheap with his grandmother every weekend. He always liked playing video games and board games, especially Connect Four. He loved green salads and would get upset when the cafeteria ran out of them. He loved to draw. When he had free time in class, he would draw pictures for his classmates, teachers and family. Justin was a very special friend to many and he will forever be missed by his family, friends, classmates, teachers and everyone that he has touched during his short life.

Justin is survived by his parents, William and Lisa Bynum; paternal grandfather, Buell Wallace; his maternal grandmother, Debbie Badeaux; brothers, Matthew Bynum (Eryca); sisters, Graycee Bynum, Kristie Bynum; nieces, Lyla, Layken, Bayleigh, Addison Bynum and nephew, Lawson Bynum; uncle, Wendell Bynum (Nancy);  aunt, Jamie Badeaux; along with great-aunts, great-uncles and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry Fordie Bynum and Doris Wallace Bynum and his maternal grandfather, Mac McLain Badeaux.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee with Bro. Larry Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Barnes, Matthew Bynum, Thomas Hall, Charles Ray Keene, David Moore and Clay Thornton.
The family wishes to deeply express their heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of you that have reached out to us in the loss of our precious Justin however it may be. This has been a difficult time for our family and your sincere condolences have been felt. Please continue to remember us in the long days ahead.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
