May 2-7 is the City of Magee Clean Up Week.  Clean up week means you can take your junk to the street…limbs to the street…and anything else that is making your home or business appear unkempt.

Happy 4th of July

I’m just saying, I have been  on a rampage about an old trailer on 3rd Avenue (I think SW…get my directions confused)…anyway…the place was awful…vines growing up …litter in the yard…a terrible eye sore for our city…well, praises…I passed this week and the trailer is being demolished!!!  I am thrilled.  The land owner is tearing down the rental trailer and making the green space green again.  I know it isn’t cheap to clean up and area…but if we all did our part…Magee would look even better.  Take a look around…what needs cleaning up.  You may report the area to the City Hall…certain steps are done before anything can happen…but at least that is a start!

Let’s take pride in our city…out county.  The Keep Simpson County committee are working hard…let’s help them!

I think one person should be in charge of a street and encourage neighbors to clean up!

Saturday is clean-up day.  Individuals, clubs, organizations, church groups, and of course neighborhood groups are encourage to pick up litter in the city.  Take a look down Main Street…check out the Ural Everett Park…clean up the City Park…up and down the roads…we have litter everywhere…but with a little effort from everyone…we can continue to make Magee beautiful.

Just saying…pick it up!

I welcome anyone to send me pictures of areas you feel need to be cleaned…I’ll forward info to the city…or I may go crazy and just start posting pictures!  Sue@mageenews.com
