Joseph Clifton McGinty, 81, passed away on December 26, 2018, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.
He was born on August 23, 1937, to the late Ernest Clifton McGinty and Adele Abel McGinty.
Mr. McGinty was a proud alumnus of Mississippi State University. He pursued a prosperous career and later retired as Vice President of McCarty Farms.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ural Dianne (Everett) McGinty; sons, Clifton McGinty II (Karen), Rusty McGinty (Donna Weathers), Timmy McGinty; grandchildren, Lindsey Hollifield (Philip), Joe McGinty III (Jamie) Justin Weathers, Cody Weathers; great-grandchildren, Ethan Hollifield, Addison Hollifield, Sadie McGinty, Weston McGinty and Callon Weathers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Steed, Jewel McGinty, and Bea Blount.
Visitation for friends and family was held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS with the service following. Bro. Warren Coile and Bro. Johnny Cox officiated. Interment was in Magee City Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
