John Douglas Mitchell, 63 of Magee, MS passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at the St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born Thursday, November 17, 1960 in Muncie, Indiana.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Mitchell Family Cemetery in Magee, MS. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mr. Mitchell loved being a Marine and serving his country. He was a loving husband and father to his family. He worked for over twenty years for Irby Construction Company who he considered his family as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Annette Mitchell; brothers, Tim Collins and David Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Lynn Mitchell; daughter, Dawn Warren (Douglas) son, Wade Mitchell (Jessica); grandchildren, Graycie Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell; sister-in-law, Julie Collins; and a host of other family members.
