On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Joey Campbell of Brandon, MS, entered into his eternal home with Jesus at the age of 62. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
Joey was born on April 27, 1962, in Quitman, MS, to John and Ella (Carroll) Campbell Harris. On May 27, 1983, he married the love of his life, Sandra Denise Campbell, and they started the greatest journey of his lifetime in which they raised two sons, Jonathan and Christopher.
He loved with his whole heart, and his greatest joy was telling others about the love of Jesus and the gift of salvation. His second greatest joy was his family and the time he got to spend with them. His two grandsons were the light of his life and brought so much joy and happiness to him.
He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Campbell, grandparents, William and Katie Carroll and John and Estelle Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandra Campbell, son Jonathan of Austin, Texas, son Christopher (Amiee) of Brandon, MS, grandsons Avery and Easton, his mother Ella Harris, sisters Robin (Doug) Crawford, Donna (Todd) Wynne, two nieces, two nephews, two great nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Olive, MS at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Dan Howard will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Pallbearers will be Shane Crawford, Doug Crawford, Michael Carroll, Matt Hale, Todd Wynne, and Vince Wynne.
