Jimmy D. Yawn, 69, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away on June 16, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1957, to Jesse Theron Yawn and Joannie Ruth White.
Jimmy worked for many years as a tree trimmer for Southern Pine, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. He completed his education before entering the workforce, building a reputation as a hard worker throughout his life.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Kelly (Quarles) Yawn, and together they shared 46 years of marriage, building a life and a lasting bond that spanned nearly five decades.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 46 years, Kelly Yawn. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon Sasser and Jesse Yawn; his sister-in-law Linda (Mark); his brother-in-law Mickey (Donna); and his aunt, Sylvie Knight. Jimmy also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will dearly miss him.
Jimmy will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his decades-long marriage to his beloved wife, and the steady, hardworking spirit he carried throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.
