A beautiful Saturday morning to witness the unveiling of the new sign for the Magee Sportsplex.   We can now say that we are going to the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex.   I believe our former mayor, Jimmy Clyde, was a little at awww Saturday morning.  A lot of work has gone into this project and no one is more deserving than Jimmy Clyde.  Two former alderman, Murray Keith and Eddie Lofton as well as new alderman members, Angel Brister and Whitney Baker were present for the unveiling.  Employees of the Magee Recreation department were also present and assisted with the unveiling.  A part is currently on order for the sign.  David Dunn mentioned some new landscaping coming to the entrance of the sportsplex.  Stay tuned to MageeNews and we will keep you updated on when the sign and landscaping is completed.

Cars were lined up to enter the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex this morning as ball tournaments were underway. I noticed tags from Jones as well as Sharkey counties and some in between.    Magee and Simpson County lets welcome these guest into our wonderful city and county and show them how proud we are to have them visit with us at the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex.
