Jerry Thames, age 66, passed away at his home on December 8, 2016. He was born on May 8, 1950, to Ouida Jeanne and Robert Wilson Thames.

He was a graduate of Magee High School.  He was a Member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Mount Olive, MS.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Thames; daughters, Kelly Brown (John), Kimberly Thames, Katy Craft (Steven); granddaughters, Ashton and Sarah Craft; brothers, Roger Thames (June), Don Thames (Sherry); sisters, Brenda Maddox (Arnold), Janet Thames and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Barney Thames; his father, Robert Wilson Thames; his mother, Ouida Jeanne Thames and his brother, Randall Thames.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2016,  at Shiloh Baptist Church, Hwy 49 S, starting at 5:30 pm.  Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 10, at 10:00 am with Bro. Mike Harper and Bro. Ben Harper officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary Ann Brown and Mrs. Jackie from Gentiva Hospice and Tutor Funeral Home for the arrangements.
