August 24, 1988~March 10, 2022

James Walter Jones, Jr., 33 of Abbeville, LA passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at his home in Abbeville, LA. He was born Wednesday, August 24, 1988, in Abbeville, Louisiana.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Mal Pinion and Mr. Jesse Morea will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Walter was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church of Florence, Ms., and was an active member when he lived with his grandparents Charles and Wanda Jones.  He was an active teen with World Changers, and Disciple Now. Walter was a member of the mission team of First Baptist Church of Florence where they traveled to El Salvador in 2006.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, James Walter (Walt) Jones Sr., of Shady Grove Ms.; and his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Duhon of Delcambre, La.

Walter is survived by his mother, Tammy Boudreaux of Abbeville, La., and maternal grandmother, Rita Duhon of Delcambre La.  He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Charles H. Jones and Wanda Jones of Florence Ms.

Walter is survived by his siblings, Joshua Boudreaux (Mishala), Cody Comeaux, Trever Comeaux.  He also was survived by long time special friend Maria Cupil, all of whom lived in La.  Walter has two nieces, one nephew, and many Aunts and Uncles, cousins and other family members living in Mississippi and Louisiana.  Walter had many friends in Mississippi and Louisiana that will miss him as much as his family will.
