James Todd Busby
August 5, 1962 – March 12, 2022
James Todd Busby, 59, of Magee, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, March 12,
2022 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born on
Sunday, August 5, 1962.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 5:00pm until 6:00pm.
Funeral Service was held at 6:00pm Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Pleasant Valley
Baptist Church, Mendenhall, Mississippi. Dr. Frank Harmon and Bro. Gayden
Harrell officiated the service. Bob Harris sang Amazing Grace. Pianist Wanda
Harris.
Todd enjoyed horses, fishing, hunting, and farming. Most of all, spending time
with his family. Todd was a 1980 graduate of Magee High School, where he met
his high school sweetheart. Todd and Kristy met in 1978 and married on October
16, 1982. Through the years, Todd worked as a carpenter, equipment operator, and
a truck driver. He worked for Southern States Utility of Jackson MS, at the time of
his death.
Survivors include his wife Kristy, son Jacob Todd (Kristyn), daughter Kristin
Elizabeth, and granddaughters, Braylie Skye Kirkland (6) and Landry Lake Busby
(4).
Todd was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Leland Busby and
Carolyn Hughes Busby
