James F. Mallette, of Braxton, MS, passed away at his home on January 30, 2023. He was born August 15, 1945, to his parents, James Kennedy Mallette and Sabra Fairley Mallette.
James married his wife, Marsha Brown Mallette in 1983, and they were married for forty years. He was a heavy equipment operator for thirty-five plus years and enjoyed roping during his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Mallette; his children, Shannon Boyle (Pat), Bernell Mallette (Kim); siblings, Naomi Mallette, Sharon Goss (Albert), Karen Goss (Freddie), Sabra Horne (Jay), Gretta Welch, Lisa Stokes (Rodney), George Mallette (Jackie) and Tony Mallette; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James (Snooks) and Sabra Mallette; brothers, John K. Mallette and Gary Mallette.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall. The service will be on Friday, February 3, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rockport, MS at 11:00 a.m. with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Wake Inabinette, Bro. Larry Mangum and Albert Goss will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
