Roger Gale Taylor, 71 of Mize, MS passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born Tuesday, March 23, 1954 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Jones Family Cemetery in Mize, MS.  Bro. Tony Keys will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

In life, Roger was a talented musician and artist. He made a living working with his hands and was proud of his work. He was a loved father and grandfather, and he adored them in return. The only thing Roger loved more than his family was using his talents to praise and worship his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.G Taylor; mother, Patsy Stubbs Taylor; and sister, Debbie Taylor Luckey.

He is survived by his son, Kegan Taylor (Brittany); grandchildren, Aiden Ray Taylor and Ember Rain Taylor; brother, Gregg Taylor (Tamela); sister, Alesia McMahon (John); nephew, Blake McMahon; nieces, Lauren McMahon and Jackie Luckey; great nephew, Bryce Gandy; great nieces, Aubrey Gandy, Noelle McMahon, Scarlett McMahon and Bailey McMahon.

Pallbearers will be Mikey McCallum, Blake McMahon, Tyler Carlton, William Carlton, Christopher Williams, and Roland Ingram.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Columbia Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the excellent care given to Mr. Roger.
