James Ershel Kennedy, 80, of Magee, passed from this life Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Mims Mitchell Funeral Home in Magee.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Magee with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Bro. Charles Ray Burnham and Bro. Joe Metts will officiate.

 

Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

 
Mr. Kennedy is survived by his, daughters, Kathy Smith (Troy) of Magee, Ramona Randall (Greg) of Gloster and Rena Clark (Chris) of Montgomery, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annell Hamilton of Flowood, Teena Huggins of Pearl, Mamie Atkinson of Morton and Barbara Bairfield of Mendenhall.
Mr. Kennedy is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lois Kennedy; parents, William Ernest and Vera Mamie Kennedy; son – James Ershel Kennedy II; brother – Billy Ray Kennedy.
