Jacqueline Toy Ware Schaub, 90, of Magee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home. Jackie was born June 7, 1933, to the late Delus Ethel Ware and the late Nola Ainsworth Ware.
She grew up in a large family in Taylorsville, MS where she graduated from high school and cheered for the Tartars. She attended Jones Junior College where she made great memories marching with the band as a majorette. Some of her fondest memories after graduation included road trips in her red convertible.
She retired from many years of service with Mississippi Power and Light. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church and later First Baptist Church of Magee. She had great faith in the Lord and Bible study was a significant part of her life. It was well known that she loved her dog and devoted companion, Sugar.
She enjoyed bargain shopping, bridge club and enjoyed sharing meaningful conversations with friends and family on her patio. She had an enthusiasm for dancing which often provided lots of entertainment for her family.
Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her great joy and they treasured time spent with her.
Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Schaub Parish (James); sons, William Stephen Schaub (Joy), and David Ware Schaub as well as her grandchildren, Courtney Fisher (Curt), Hayden Schaub (Brianna), Reed Schaub, Olivia Rowe (Mark) and Sam Taylor (Alyssa); great-grandchildren, Abby Fisher, Maverick Schaub, Ardsley Rowe, Aven Rowe, Mac Taylor, Drew Taylor, Clara Taylor and her sister, Hettie Doris Myrick.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ben Ware, Tom Ware; sisters, Johnnie Carlson, Jessie Leake, Frances Dickens and Ruth LaBorde.
A deep love and respect abide among her family and friends who will miss her deeply but know that she is resting in the loving arms of her Savior.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Southern Memorial Gardens in Magee.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Magee Music Fund, 222 First Street NW Magee, MS 39111 in her memory.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee, MS.
