Jackie Wayne Lewis, 77 of Harrisville, MS went to be with his wife on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born Friday, October 3, 1947 in Shaw, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Harrisville Baptist Church, 1558 Simpson Hwy 469 Harrisville, MS 39082. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00am at Harrisville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Harrisville Cemetery in Harrisville, MS. Brett Lewis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Gallagher Lewis; father, Clyde Daniel Lewis; mother, Marget Elizabeth Whatley Lewis; brothers, Clyde “Danny” Lewis, Jr., Johnnie G. “Little Clyde” Lewis, Don A. Lewis and Preston Keith Lewis; sisters, Ida Mae Little and Delba L. Lewis.
He is survived by his sons, Danny Lewis (Lisa) of Harrisville, MS and Jason Lewis (Bridget) of Harrisville, MS; daughter, Beth Willis (Kevin) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Reagan Grace Lewis, Bradley Lewis, Rebecca Lewis, Kayla Lewis (Tyler), Aaron Reeves, Ethan Chambers, Mary Elise Mazzaferro and Kiera Mazzaferro; 4 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bundy Boykin, Pat Little, Stan Little, Lewis Crabtree, Greg Welborn, and Randy Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Thompson.
Special music will be performed by Brett Lewis.
