Intermittent ramp CLOSURES at I-59 and U.S. 49 in Forrest County start TODAY

WHO:         Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).

WHAT:        Intermittent, temporary ramp CLOSURES.

WHEN:        TODAY, June 10, until complete

WHERE:      The entrance and exit ramps for I-59 at U.S. 49 S / Hattiesburg (EX 67A) in Forrest County

WHY:          Curb work associated with an interstate resurfacing project.

The intermittent ramp closures will take place one at a time in this order:

  • Ramp from U.S. 49 N to I-59 S
  • Ramp from I-59 S to U.S. 49 S
  • Ramp from U.S. 49 S to I-59 N
  • Ramp from I-59 N to U.S. 49 N
